JByrd Nurseries sources and supplies plant material in a variety of formats depending on plant size and availability, including container-grown, balled-and-burlapped (B&B), and hand-dug material.

Smaller plant material is typically container-grown, while larger trees and shrubs may be B&B or hand-dug depending on the grower and project requirements. We source plant material through our grower network and can help confirm availability based on your plant list.

Many plants used in South Jersey landscapes offer natural resistance to deer browsing. While no plant is completely deer-proof, certain varieties are less attractive due to scent, texture, or taste and are commonly used in areas with deer pressure.

In heavy deer areas, some browsing may still occur, but resistant varieties are far less likely to experience significant damage.

We also place a strong emphasis on consistency and uniform sizing, especially for hedge rows, screening, and mass plantings where plants need to match closely on-site.
